Starting this spring, Garden Kitchen Lab is opening a new location in the Bronx, at the St. James Recreation Center in Fordham Heights. The new kitchen-garden is possible thanks to the New York Restoration Project’s generosity, which designed and assembled the raised beds. The program will host the after-school children during the school year and the summer camp children. We can’t wait to see what Shawn Dickerson, the Media Education Coordinator at St. James, and Dianne Bliffeld, a local school teacher and seasoned Garden Kitchen Lab volunteer, do this year.
